Marcia (Rexroat) Covert is the Chief Deputy Clerk Treasurer. A life long resident of Columbus, she previously worked in the Bartholomew County Prosecutor's office as Victim/Witness Coordinator for 20 years until her appointment on 1/1/04 by Brenda Sullivan as Chief Deputy. Marcia assists the Clerk Treasurer on the completion of duties of the Clerk Treasurer's Office on a daily basis. Additional duties include working with all city departments and the public, reconciling the city's bank accounts, wiring financial obligations, posting journal entries and completing investments for the city and utility funds.

Tammy Keller is the Payroll/ Human Resource Manager. Tammy has been
on the Clerk Treasurer's staff since November 1991 and has handled
Payroll duties since June 1995. As the Payroll/HR manager, Tammy
processes all citywide payrolls and short-term disability checks.
Tammy is responsible for all payroll, deferred compensation,
garnishments and direct deposits reporting. She also handles
employee time and attendance records as required by the State
Board of Accounts.

Luann Welmer is a Deputy Clerk Treasurer for Accounts Payable.
A life long resident of Bartholomew County, she joined the Clerk
Treasurer’s Office in January 2004 after working 20 years
for the Bartholomew County Prosecutor’s Office. Luann job
shares the Accounts Payable position with Markel Andrews. Among
her responsibilities include vendor claims for payment, setting
up claim dockets, and run payables checks for all city departments.

Markel Andrews is a Deputy Clerk Treasurer - Administrative Assistant.
She has been a resident of Bartholomew County for 35 years. She
joined the Clerk Treasurer's Office in April 2004 after retiring from the
Bartholomew County Prosecutor's Office. Markel job shares with Luann
Welmer, Accounts Payable Clerk. Among her other responsibilities are vendor filings,
correspondence, city's phone bill, invoicing, receipts and filling in where necessary.

Clerk Treasurer - Receivables and Records |

Linda Larson is the Deputy Clerk Treasurer for Records and Receivables. She came to the staff in June of 1995. Linda is usually the public's first point of contact in the Clerk Treasurer's Office, as she is responsible for customer service at the front counter. Linda handles the receipting of all revenues to the city. She maintains records for the Board of Public Works and Safety and she prepares the city council agendas. Linda handles all required legal advertising for the Clerk Treasurer's Office and the city. She is also in charge of filing and maintaining all city Ordinances and Resolutions.

Pam Harrell is the Deputy Clerk Treasurer Accounting Specialist. She joined the Clerk Treasurer's office in May 2005 after working for the Bartholomew County Treasurer's office for 1.5 years. Pam reconciles bank statements, processes the local pension payroll checks, processes weekly payroll deduction checks and maintains the updating of computer data. |
