Recycling is an ongoing program and there is no deadline to sign up.
The Columbus Recycles program provided by the City of Columbus Sanitation Department offers the opportunity to have convenient curbside collection of recyclable materials for single-family Columbus residences and apartments with four units or fewer that are currently sanitation customers.
Residents will have no additional user fees and will not need to sort recycling. Recyclables will all go into the same FREE city-provided 96 gallon recycling toter. All materials currently recyclable in Columbus will be accepted as part of the service. It will also enable residents to recycle additional plastics materials currently not accepted in Columbus.
After signing up for the program, a FREE 96 gallon recycling toter (or other size if requested with one-time fee) will be delivered to residents’ homes. Residents will now have the ease of all collections happening on the same day and recycling every 2 weeks.
