The Indiana Arts Commission (IAC), working collaboratively with the Indiana State Library and Regional Arts Partners, will host its first Web Cafe, at 10 a.m. December 5, 2013 to enlist public input of the next phase of the agency's Strategic Plan. Complete details can be found at http://www.in.gov/arts/2835.htm.
The Columbus Area Arts Council is one of ten Regional Arts Partners that will serve as a satellite location for this free session. Attendees should arrive at Bartholomew County Public Library’s Red Room no later than 9:45 a.m. for pre-announcements and coffee.
Participants are asked to familiarize themselves with the IAC’s current Strategic Plan, which can be found online at < http://www.in.gov/arts/files/StrategicPlan2012_FINAL_lowres.pdf >. IAC Executive Director Lewis Ricci will review the Strategic Plan. However, a quick review beforehand will give participants an idea of the work the IAC has been doing over the last three years. Participants will be asked to identify and vote on top goals and objectives for the final phase of the plan. All input and results gathered will be collected and posted on the IAC website following the Web Cafe.
Todd Wetzel, Director of Purdue Convocations, will serve as the host site facilitator for the live event.
"This Web Cafe is a first step for the Arts Commission, but a step toward greater engagement with our constituents," said IAC Executive Director Lewis C. Ricci. "By embracing this technology, and through the generous assistance of the Indiana State Library and Regional Partners, we will accomplish in one virtual statewide meeting what once took several weeks to accomplish."
Questions about the Web Cafe can be directed to Paige Sharp, Grants, Research, & Information Technology Manager, at email@example.com or 317-232-1278.
Questions about the Columbus satellite location can be directed to Jeff Kuehl, Regional Services Director, at jkuehl@artsINcolumbus.org or 812-376-2535.
