Columbus Firefighters will be serving up their best bowls of chili again this year at the annual Columbus Firemen’s Cheer Fund Chili Cook-Off on November 9 at the FairOaks Mall.
The Cook-Off raises money for the Cheer Fund, which provides gifts to local families during the holidays.
Last year, more than 1,200 children benefited from the Cheer Fund. The Chili Cook-Off is the Cheer Fund’s biggest fundraiser.
For $5, firefighters will serve up their homemade chili, dessert and a drink. The chili ranges in flavor from mild to red hot and comes in a variety of styles that are sure to please any chili lover.
The Cook-Off is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. November 9 and will go till the chili runs out. For more information about the annual holiday assistance program, visit the Cheer Fund’s website.
