Parent/Child (6 weeks - 3 years)
The objective is to help the children be comfortable in and around the water. A parent/trusted adult must accompany infants/toddlers.
Pre-school (3-5 years)
This is a swimming readiness class. Students will explore water environment through games and play.
Level 1: Intro to Water Skills (6 & Up)
This class will help children feel comfortable in water and enjoy the water safely.
Level 2: Fundamental Aquatic Skills
Students will attain success with fundamental skills.
Level 3: Stroke Readiness
This class will build on the skills in Level 2 through providing additional guided practice.
Level 4: Stroke Improvement
Students will develop confidence in the strokes learned and improve other aquatic skills.
Level 5: Stroke Refinement
This class will provide further coordination and refinement of strokes.
Level 6: Swimming and Skill Proficiency
The following options are offered: personal water safety, lifeguard readiness, and fitness swimming. Options are selected by the instructor.
Youth Triathlon Training (ages 6-14)
Practice Swimming, biking and running to prepare for the June 16 Youth Triathlon.
Instructional diving class
Adult Swimming Lessons (18-Up)
Customized for each participant.
- Session 1: 6/9-19/14
- Session 2: 6/23-7/3/14
- Session 3: 7/7-17/14
Rain Policy: All participants are guarenteed at least 6 classes per session.
Group Lessons Info:
All classes are 35 minutes long with the following exceptions:
-Parent/Child and Pre-School are 30 minutes
-Level 6 is 45 minutes
Jr. Lifeguard Camp
Learn what it takes to be a lifeguard and get an inside track on a job at Donner Aquatic Center. A two-week, Mon-Thurs camp held at DAC. Each camper receives a fanny pack, visor, and whistle. Limit: 16 participants
