Persons desiring water service which requires an extension to the distribution system of the municipal water utility shall petition the utility service board for such service and file such petition in the office of the municipal water utility. The utility service board shall take action on such petitions in accordance with the rules as provided in this chapter and notify the petitioner of the action taken. (Prior code § 33-17)
