A.    Responsibility of Utility. The municipal water utility, at its sole discretion, will determine the location of and will furnish, install and maintain, at its sole expense, the water meter pit, the water meter and the service pipe to either the curb line or the customer's property line.

    B.    Responsibility of Customer. Regardless of the location of the water meter service connection, the customer shall furnish, install and maintain, at the customer's sole expense, the service pipe from the curb line or the customer's property line, whichever is closer to the water meter, to the customer's building.
