Whoever forcibly assaults, resists, opposes, obstructs, prevents, impedes or interferes with any animal control personnel while that person is engaged in the execution of any duties required of the animal control department under this chapter, shall be subject to a fine of fifty dollars for the first offense, with the fines increasing by increments of fifty dollars for each subsequent offense within one year of the first offense, but not more than one thousand dollars.
