Chapter 2.84 TELECOMMUNICATIONS FUND AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE
Section 2.84.010 The fund.
A. The Bartholomew County telecommunications
non-reverting fund, hereinafter referred to as
the fund, is established and Bartholomew County's pro-rata share of the present Bartholomew
Columbus telecommunications non-reverting fund is transferred to this nonreverting fund.
Bartholomew County's pro-rata share of the present Bartholomew Columbus telecommunications
nonreverting fund shall equal that portion of the fund which the county manages based on the fees
paid by subscribers located outside the corporate boundaries of the city of Columbus, Indiana. The
Columbus telecommunications nonreverting fund heretofore established under Ordinance No. 98-27, shall
be deemed to be the city's fund which is referenced within this chapter.
B. The Columbus city-clerk treasurer
shall be responsible for paying all expenses of the
Bartholomew Columbus telecommunications commission budget during the course of the calendar
year. On or before July 15th of each year and January 15th of each year, the Columbus city-clerk
treasurer shall submit to the Bartholomew County commissioners an itemized statement detailing
the total amount of the semi-annual expenses of the Bartholomew Columbus telecommunication
commission as of the immediately preceding June 30th and December 31st of each year.
Bartholomew County shall then promptly reimburse the city as set forth below for the county's pro-rata
share of the annual operating budget of the Bartholomew Columbus telecommunications
commission. Further, the Columbus City clerk treasurer shall receive, invest and reinvest the city's
pro-rata share of any cable television franchise fees received under any franchise agreement.
C. The county treasurer shall receive,
invest and reinvest Bartholomew County's pro-rata
share of any cable television franchise fees received under any franchise agreement. (Ord. 99-8 §
