A.    There is established a law enforcement continuing education fund to be utilized for the purposes outlined in Indiana Code, 5-2-8-1, et seq.

    B.    The chief of police is authorized pursuant to the provisions of Indiana Code, 5-2-8-4 to file a claim with the auditor of Bartholomew County, Indiana, for purposes of disbursement of moneys to be paid into the nonreverting law enforcement continuing legal education fund.

    C.    The chief of police is authorized by the common council to expend funds from said nonreverting law enforcement continuing legal education fund for purposes consistent with the provisions of Indiana Code, 5-2-8-2 and 5-2-8-6. (Prior code § 7-69)
