A.    The board of public works and safety shall set the length of validity of any license hereunder, taking into consideration the request of the applicant, but for no term greater than one year.

    B.    A fee for any license under this chapter is seventy-five dollars per license per year. Any license issued hereunder for a public gathering as defined by this chapter shall be fifty dollars for each day of the gathering, should the board of public works and safety so direct, plus any and all reasonable expenses incurred by the city in providing police protection or other services rendered by personnel of the city, in preparing for and insuring an orderly public gathering.

    C.    All licenses expire on December 31st of each year, unless revoked earlier, and must be renewed no later than January 15th of each following year regardless of the date of issuance in the preceding year. (Prior code § 20-8)
