Section 6.12.020 Obtaining a license.

    Applications for a license shall be made to the animal control department. Application shall include the name and address of the owner, a description of the animal, including whether the animal is spayed or unspayed, neutered or unneutered, a current rabies certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian, and information whether the applicant has been convicted of cruelty to animals. No person who has been convicted of cruelty to animals shall be issued a license without review by the animal control commission. Application for a license must be made when the animal reaches the age of six months. When a person obtains an animal older than six months, a license must be applied for within fifteen days.
