Not-for-profit organizations and commercial property may also qualify. \u00a0<strong>The City of Columbus will reimburse $6 per square foot of sidewalk and $50 per linear foot of curb.<\/strong> For commercial sidewalk and curb, the maximum reimbursement amount per business entity will not exceed $10,000 per calendar year. There is no application deadline, however, the number of SCSC Program requests approved will be limited by annual funding.<\/p>\n<h3>Follow these steps to participate in the SCSC class=\"panel-body toggle-content fusion-clearfix\">\n<p>An Engineering staff member will review the application and visit the site to inspect and measure the sidewalk and\/or curb.<\/p>\n<p>The City will be responsible for any curb ramps at intersections and any alley approach work.<\/p>\n<p>The Applicant will receive a letter from the City via email or U.S. Mail.\u00a0 The approximate reimbursement amount, as well as other important information, will be included in the letter.\u00a0 Please read this participation letter thoroughly.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div any necessary tree removal.<\/li>\n<li>An approved <a href=\"https:\/\/www.columbus.in.gov\/engineering\/improvement-in-the-right-of-way\/improvement-in-the-right-of-way-application\/\">Improvement in the Right of Way Permit<\/a> is required prior to the start of any work.<\/li>\n<li>Prior to placing concrete, all form work must be inspected and approved for compliance with City standards and accessibility.<\/li>\n<li>The City will not reimburse the Applicant if the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.columbus.in.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/2026-SCSC-Program-Application.pdf\">SCSC Program aria-labelledby=\"toggle_4e95bf4ce442d9e46\"><div class=\"panel-body toggle-content fusion-clearfix\">\n<p>After the work is completed to the Applicant&#8217;s satisfaction and has been inspected and approved by an Engineering staff member, the Applicant should pay all contractors and suppliers.\u00a0 The City will not pay contractors or suppliers directly.<\/p>\n<p>Upon completion and submission of required documents, the City will issue a check to the Applicant.
