The Columbus Fire Department (CFD) requires that all applicants hold a valid Candidate Physical Abilities (CPAT) card that must be presented at the time of the written exam.<\/p>\n<p><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MailCompose\">The Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT) is a standardized, pass\/fail physical exam for firefighter candidates, designed to measure physical capability to perform essential job tasks safely.
