Fire Prevention Week Poster Contest<\/p>\n
The Columbus Fire Department announces an opportunity for young artists to create a fire prevention poster to coincide with year\u2019s \u201cFire Prevention Week\u201d. The Columbus Fire Department\u2019s Fire Prevention Week 2018 Poster Contest is an opportunity for area youth to create a fire prevention message through their artistic creativity. The theme of this year\u2019s Fire Prevention Week is – \u201cLook. Listen. Learn. Be aware \u2013 fire can happen anywhere<\/strong>.\u201d The 2018 Fire Prevention week is October 7-13.<\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>Posters should be on 8 \u00bd X 11 paper and highlight the fire prevention theme for 2018-\u201cLook. Listen. Learn. Be aware \u2013 fire can happen anywhere<\/strong>.\u201d \u00a0Posters may be created using pen, pencil, colored pencil, crayon or paint. Children must include their name, age and telephone number on the back of their poster. Posters without contact information will not be eligible as a winning submission.<\/p>\n Posters may be dropped off through October 3rd, at the Columbus Fire Department Administration office during regular business hours M-F, 7 a.m. \u2013 4 p.m., 1101 Jackson Street, Columbus, IN. 47201. The deadline for submitting a poster is October 3, at 4 p.m.<\/p>\n The winning poster will be announced on October 5th, 2018. The winner will receive 6 tickets to Holiday World & Splashing Safari courtesy of White River Broadcasting Company.
