Transportation Improvement Program
The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is the document that programs transportation projects for Columbus and Bartholomew County. It is updated every two years. The FY 2020-2024 TIP is currently under development and will be considered for adoption by the Policy Board at the May 13 Meeting. Projects include road construction, bridge rehabilitation and replacement, People Trail connections, transit funding, and other transportation-related projects. The TIP is also available for review at the following locations from February 25 until March 29:

2018-2021 Transportation Improvement Program
The FY 2018-2021 TIP was approved on May 8, 2017 by the CAMPO Policy Board, and may be viewed here. The 2018-2021 TIP Project List, with amendments and modifications approved as of February 11, 2019, may be viewed here.
The TIP lists all transportation projects that use federal transportation dollars as well as transportation projects of regional significance, regardless of funding source. The TIP is regularly amended by the Policy Board to allow project revisions and additions.
The TIP serves several purposes, including:
- Implementation of the Long-Range Transportation Plan
- Keeping the public informed of changes to the transportation network
- Establishing a schedule for transportation projects
- Providing an overview of project costs
