Many of the plans are required by the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT), the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), or Federal Transit Administration (FTA) for an MPO to continue to obtain federal funding. Others plans and studies are done to provide details of a specific area, corridor, intersection, or mode of transportation.
