Local Man Arrested on Felony Probation Warrant

Columbus police officers with the assistance of detectives from the Joint Narcotics Enforcement Team and the Greenwood Police Department arrested a local man with a felony probation warrant on Tuesday night.  After receiving information that Michael W. Nida II, 21, was at an apartment in Greenwood, officers arrived at the apartment building located in the 1500 block of Sandy Bay.  Shortly after 10:00 p.m., Nida was located and taken into custody without incident.  He was later transported back to Columbus and remanded to the Bartholomew County Jail on the following charge:

Bartholomew County Probation Warrant -Original Charges- Intimidation (Level 5 Felony)

Domestic Battery with Bodily Injury (Level 5 Felony)

Strangulation (Level 6 Felony)

Interfering with the Reporting of a Crime (Class A Misdemeanor)

Nida remains incarcerated with a $200,000.00 bond.
