Earlier this morning, Columbus Mayor Mary Ferdon swore in the newest police officer for the Columbus Police Department. Elijsha Munn (CPD 305) comes to us from Maryland. After graduating from Great Mills High School, Munn studied criminal justice and started working with the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office as a correctional officer. He then transitioned to a patrol deputy, where he became a field training officer and a member of their Emergency Response Team.
In the coming weeks, Munn will undergo training with CPD instructors, as well as, training with the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy to transfer his police officer certification from Maryland to Indiana.
