Project Summary<\/strong><\/h1>\n

The 2nd Street Thoroughfare Project is in response to a desire to extend the pedestrian-friendly experience downtown.<\/span><\/p>\n

The project will feature several modifications to the existing conditions such as:<\/span><\/p>\n

  • Narrowing the traffic lanes as a <\/span>traffic calming<\/span> measure<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Integrating on-street <\/span>parking<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Installing safety <\/span>bumpouts<\/span> and <\/span>buffers<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Creating an on-street <\/span>connection<\/span> to the Taylor apartments<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Installing <\/span>pedestrian crosswalks<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Planting new <\/span>landscaping<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
