The Columbus Fire Department announces the hiring of Firefighter Joshua Meadows. Meadows was sworn in by Columbus Mayor, James Lienhoop, at Tuesday’s Board of Public Works and Safety meeting. Meadows will under-go a department familiarization training program. After completing this training, Meadows will receive a shift schedule and station assignment.

Previous Public Safety Experience: Nineveh Volunteer Fire Department- 8 years, Part time status for the Greenwood Indiana Fire Department- 16 years.
Certifications: Indiana Firefighter I & II certification, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Hazardous Materials Technician. Meadows has extensive apparatus operations training as well as officer leadership training.
