The Columbus Firemen’s Cheer Fund  celebrates 91 years of service this year and the annual Christmas Gift Program is underway. The Columbus Fire Department is currently accepting new toy and monetary donations at all City of Columbus Fire stations in anticipation for the December 18 delivery day. Out of caution, citing safety concerns for community members during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Cheer Fund did not have open boxing volunteer sessions available for the 2020 season. This will also be the case for this year’s Cheer Fund campaign.

Those that wish to assist in supporting the Cheer Fund will be permitted to deliver toys on the December 18th delivery day. Delivery will begin at 8:00 AM at the Cheer Fund warehouse: 2674 Verhulst Street, Columbus, IN. 47203. The Cheer Fund collects, purchases and redistributes toys to Bartholomew County youth from infant up to 12 years of age. The Cheer Fund distributed toys to approximately 1200 local children in 2020.

New toy and monetary donations will be accepted at any Columbus Fire station facility or you may mail a Cheer Fund donation to the Columbus Fire Department Administrative Offices: 1101 Jackson Street, Columbus, IN. 47201
