Welcome, students, teachers, and community members!

It is once again time for the annual Human Rights Commission’s Benjamin M. King Essay and J. Irwin Miller Art Contests. This year’s theme is “Advocating for Others”.

These contests are open to all Bartholomew County students in grades 5 – 12.

There are three divisions:

Division 1:  Elementary (grades 5 – 6)

Division 2:  Middle (grades 7 – 8)

Division 3:  High (grades 9 – 12).

Students must complete an official entry form to attach to their essays or art pieces.  The due date for all essays and art pieces is Tuesday, February 28, 2017.

Winners from each division will receive a $75 award, an award-winning book, and complimentary tickets to the Human Rights Annual Dinner!
