Here is our Columbus Fire Department July 2025 Recap. The monthly recap is a running total to show you the types of calls and number of responses each unit has completed year-to-date. You will see that this July recap has included severe weather related calls, which are currently 0.3% of our total calls. We think you would agree that the weather this year has kept us all on our toes.

On par with national statistics, Fire and Emergency Medical calls have remained consistent. Compared to the July of 2024, we see nearly a 10% increase in calls for the CFD.

At the bottom of this infographic, you will see that CFD units have spent 2058 hours and 27 minutes of service delivery year-to-date. With 225 days under our belt, that’s an average of over 9 hours per day of emergency response. What about the other 15 hours per day, you ask? We fill that time with department training, firefighter fitness, attending special events and keeping our stations and equipment in top shape. We also try to catch a good rest, if possible, during our 24 hour shift.

We look forward to providing you with our August recap numbers in early September.
