September 2025 CFD Fire Department Recap Here is our Columbus Fire Department September Recap. As you see, Emergency Medical response account for nearly 70% of all CFD calls for service. With well trained EMTs and Paramedics, we provide a high level of emergency medical care within the community. Our second most frequent type of call, 12.2% of our total, is for Good Intent Calls. These calls include an incident where we are canceled while responding, calls where we find no emergency, call for smoke odor or gas odor without emergency conditions at the scene or an EMS call where the reporting party has left the scene or has been transported prior to our arrival. False Alarms and False Calls make up our third most common call category. These may include unintentional fire alarms, alarm or detector malfunctions, bomb scares, malicious or mischievous false alarms and false call reports. This category currently accounts for 7.8 % of our call volume in 2025. Each month, we look forward to sharing the work we are doing here in Columbus. It is a great privilege to serve you!
