Adult Programs
The Columbus Police Department offers a wide variety of community programs for adults, including the Firearms Safety Course, Women’s Self-Defense class, Public Safety Academy, and PT with the Police.
Youth Programs
Youth programs are offered throughout the year from the Columbus Police Department. They include D.A.R.E., the Youth Academy, Precision Driving for Teens, and the Cadets program.

As a service to our community, our officers are available to speak at engagements free of charge. Listed below are some topics of our officers’ expertise:

Neighborhood Watch
Residents are responsible for organizing and maintaining a Neighborhood Watch program. The Columbus Police Department can assist in establishing the program and partner with Neighborhood Watch groups.
Residents should never approach suspicious individuals or try to stop a crime from happening. However, residents can make a difference and help police by providing detailed descriptions of suspects and vehicles.
