Records Division

The Records Division of the Columbus Police Department is open to the public Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., excluding holidays. The Records Division is located in the lobby of the Police Department.

Parking Enforcement

The Parking Division is responsible for monitoring the temporary parking spaces downtown, as well as, yellow curbs, fire lanes, and handicap spaces throughout the city.

Parking ticket payments can be sent in the envelope provided by enclosing your payment, adding a stamp, and dropping it in the mail. Payments can also be paid at the Columbus Police Department during normal business hours or dropping the envelope and payment in the red drop box on the northeast corner of 5th and Washington Street. Tickets can be paid by check, cash, money order, or online at the link below.

Accreditation

The Columbus Police Department is proud to say that in November, 2014 we received accreditation from Commission on the Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA).  Additionally, in March, 2015 we received accreditation from the Indiana Law Enforcement Accreditation Commission (ILEAC).  With these accreditations it ensures that we increase agency effectiveness and efficiency in delivery of law enforcement services while increasing citizen and employee confidence in the department goals, objectives, policies and practices.
