Mayor Mary Ferdon announced the Thursday, February 29th, 2024 opening of Employer Health Partners (EHP) Clinic at NexusPark, which will see City of Columbus employees, their spouses and dependents on the city SIHO Healthcare Plan, as well as city retirees and their dependents on city insurance.

“This collaboration with Columbus Regional Health (CRH) will benefit our employees, the taxpayers and the community. The clinic was made possible with the expanded medical office space in NexusPark,” said Mayor Ferdon. The clinic, as a wellness solution offered in partnership with Columbus Regional Health, will improve the health and wellness of the City’s valued employees and their families and also save taxpayer dollars through negotiated pricing of visits, labs, and common medications. The clinic partnership is already in place between CRH and the Bartholomew Consolidated School Corporation (BCSC).

Brandy Burton, a former BCSC employee, married to Bryan Burton, director of Public Works for the City of Columbus, is looking forward to using the EHP Clinic once it opens. She said, “The BCSC Clinic offered services that you would normally get from your family doctor either same day or the next, with no co-pay or cost.” As a department leader who works to recruit and retain employees, Bryan Burton remarked, “This will be a great benefit to employees and attract future employees as well. Seeing firsthand the medical services that were available to BCSC employees through the clinic was impressive, at no additional cost to the employee.” Bryan is pleased that city employees will be offered such a great benefit.

Columbus Fire Department Chief Andy Lay stated, “It’s fantastic to hear that the Columbus Fire Department has been granted access to the new Employer Health Partners (EHP) Clinic. Ensuring the health and safety of firefighters and their families is indeed paramount. This initiative will undoubtedly have a positive impact on both the department and the community it serves.”
