The Columbus Police Department is joining several local groups, charities, and businesses in seeking clothing and other necessities that will be donated to Afghan refugees who are currently housed at Camp Atterbury.   CPD will accept new and gently used fall and winter clothing including coats and jackets, as well as new and unopened healthcare and hygiene products through Friday, October 8.  The donated items can be placed in a CPD patrol vehicle in front of the police department from 8:00 a.m-5:00 p.m. (Monday-Friday).

“We are excited for the opportunity to help these refugees in a small but vital way,” said CPD Chief of Police Michael Richardson.  “We know that our community is very generous and hope to receive enough clothing and supplies to fill a couple of police vehicles” Richardson added.
