COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus Department of Public Works recognized 10 employees Tuesday during its annual Faithful Service Award ceremony, celebrating a combined 175 years of service to the community. ColumBUS Transit also honored employee Ronald Dykes for five years of service.

Mayor Mary Ferdon praised DPW staff as “the unseen workers who keep Columbus beautiful,” thanking them for their dedication. Director of Public Works Bryan Burton joined Ferdon in acknowledging the department’s long‑serving employees, while Transit Director Matt Dudukovich expressed appreciation for ColumBUS staff and their efforts to launch the city’s new bus loops.

Employees gathered for an appreciation lunch before the ceremony, with food provided by Stoops’ Grill Trailer.
