Mayor-Elect Mary Ferdon announced today that Robin Hilber will serve as Director of Community Development for the City of Columbus effective January 1, 2024.  Hilber joined the City in 2016 and has most recently served as Assistant Director.

Hilber will oversee the Housing Study and Community Needs Assessment, Code Enforcement, the Community Garden, and other community engagement projects.  “Robin has been a valuable member of the community Development team for almost eight years,” stated Mayor-Elect Mary Ferdon. “Her experience, strategic ideas and community engagement has been valuable to the City and I look forward to her continued service.”

Hilber serves on the Just Friends Adult Day Center Board and the Lincoln-Central Neighborhood Family Center Board and is a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. She is a graduate of Indiana University Kelley School of Business and resides in Columbus. “I am honored to have been chosen as Director of Community Development and look forward to continuing with Mayor-elect Mary Ferdon in her administration. We have accomplished so much over the last eight years with Mayor Lienhoop at the helm,” said Robin Hilber. “This is an incredible opportunity to continue the great work of Community Development for the City of Columbus.” The Office of Community Development is located on the second floor of City Hall in downtown Columbus.
