City offices will be closed Monday, January 1 for New Year’s. All curbside collections will be one day delayed, with Friday pickups occurring on Saturday, January 6. Check your pickup day here. City offices will be closed Monday, January 15 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. All curbside collections will be on schedule. Columbus City Utilities offices will also be closed on these days. Columbus Municipal Airport Selects Marlon Blackwell Architects to Design New Air Traffic Control Tower

The new 100-foot-tall air traffic control tower will be funded by the FAA, Indiana Department of Transportation and the City of Columbus, and supported by Cummins Inc. Mayor Lienhoop receives top state honor at Luncheon

On Friday, December 15th, Mayor Jim Lienhoop and David Hayward, City Engineer and Executive Director of Public Works, were given honors during the City of Columbus Holiday Luncheon. Mayor Lienhoop was honored on Friday with the Sagamore of the Wabash award. The Sagamore is the highest honor the Governor bestows on individuals. Robin Hilber announced as Director of Community Development

Mayor-Elect Mary Ferdon announced today that Robin Hilber will serve as Director of Community Development for the City of Columbus effective January 1, 2024.  Hilber joined the City in 2016 and has most recently served as Assistant Director. Eric Frey to Join New City Administration

Mayor-Elect Mary Ferdon announced today that Eric Frey will serve as the Executive Director of Administration for the City of Columbus effective January 1, 2024. Supporting the Ferdon administration, Frey will oversee multiple city departments, and key strategic initiatives such as the city’s involvement in Mental Health Matters, ASAP, housing initiatives, and more. Frey served as the executive director of Administrative Resources association (ARa), a Columbus-based nonprofit municipal owned association, since 2001 and as a member of ARa’s staff since 1994.
