yard_waste_toter(1)We suggest City resident’s cut grass high and let the clippings remain on your lawn.  This acts as a free fertilizer as well as a weed inhibitor.  Yard waste toters and stacked brush will be collected curbside the day of  your regular trash collection.

COMPOST TOTERS (DARK GREEN TOTER)
All compost material MUST be placed in a dark green Yard Waste Toter for collection, a ” Toter brand” toter purchased from Lowes Home Improvement.

BROWN trash toters cannot be used for yard waste or recyclables. RECYCLING toters cannot be used for yard waste or trash

YARD WASTE  toters must be out by 7:00am on collection day, & not prior to 24 hours before pick-up or 24 hours after collection.

Grass, leaves, flowers, garden waste, weeds, pine needles/cones & green hedge trimmings placed in your toter will be collected by City crews curbside only. NO HOUSEHOLD TRASH OR ANYTHING WOODY!

If you chose NOT to participate in the compost program you may bag your compost material and bring it to the compost site located at the Department of Public Works. You will then empty your bags into the compost row and take your bags back with you.

BRUSH/LIMB collection is provided for City residents on a weekly basis.  Brush/limbs will be picked on the same day as your trash collection, and must be stacked curbside.
