Share your opinion on regional roadway project prioritization for the next 25 years.

Columbus and Bartholomew County Transportation Plan Update: This long-range plan focuses on the next 25 years, evaluates development trends & capacity, reviews possible funding sources including grants, and takes into account the recent Columbus Bike/Ped. Plan Update, Transit Route Study, and Safety Action Plan.
Project Identification: The draft regional roadway project list was created by looking over the existing Transportation Plan, the Bartholomew County Thoroughfare Plan, and the City of Columbus Comprehensive Plan Elements. Feedback was also gathered during the Nov 19, 2025 open house and online survey available from Nov 2025 to Jan 2026.
Project Evaluation: The regional roadway projects have been evaluated based on nine criteria including: crash frequency, congestion mitigation, pavement condition, enhancing connectivity throughout Bartholomew County, proximity to potential employment and population growth areas, proximity to vulnerable populations, inclusion of multimodal elements, impact to environmental or historic features, and consistency with local plans.
Draft Priority Lists: The lists below are the draft top priority projects. Based on anticipated federal funded, the Priority-A projects could be funded in the next 15 years, Priority-B projects could be funded in the next 25 years.
