This material was last updated on October 27, 2020 and reflects all revisions through the adoption of City of Columbus Ordinance 21, 2020 on August 18, 2020 and Bartholomew County Ordinance 4, 2020 on September 14, 2020 (and effective November 5, 2020). The corresponding zoning map is provided as a layer on the Bartholomew County GIS system.
Commercial Solar Energy System Zoning Regulations – Effective November 9, 2022 Bartholomew County has adopted zoning ordinance amendments with regard to commercial solar energy system facilities. Incorporation of these amendments into the zoning ordinance document will occur at a later date.

Town of Hartsville
The Town of Hartsville maintains a contract with Bartholomew County for the administration of the Town’s zoning and subdivision regulations. The Hartsville Zoning Map and Ordinance are provided below. The Bartholomew County Subdivision Control Ordinance is also applicable to Hartsville.
